On 10-12 March in Georgia was filmed a video for the most famous Ukrainian band “Okean Elzy”. The track named “Ne jdy” (author – S. Vakarchuk) – a single from the band’s new album.
Maria Moskalenko, Producer and Founder of FX FILM Production in Ukraine and FX FILM Production Georgia: «For FX FILM and me personally, this isn’t the first collaboration with the band. All the work we’ve done for the “Okean Elzy”, was special for us. For example, the video “Veseli, brate, chasy nastaly” in 2009 received the Ukrainian Rock Awards for the best video. It is always a combination of complex, non-trivial and avant-garde ideas with deep creativity of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. Always very difficult to implement, but at the same time carries the joyful energy and deep meaning. We are very proud of these works.To shoot the short film, such is the format of the clip, is not easy in such a limited period of time. But Georgian geography helped us, as a special benefit for filming here, is the locations proximity. The friendly attitude of all the people who helped us to create this video, reflected in the results. Creativity, sincerity and love – that’s what our job really is and in Georgia there’s plenty of everything. “
Svyatoslav Vakarchuk about the video: “The director of the video for our new song was Igor Stekolenko, who with his brother Alexander already shot several music videos for OE. These videos became very popular (“911”, “Kvіtka”, “Vische neba”, “Ya do tebe”). I trust his intuition, and when Igor after listening to the song offered a philosophical, not a literal story, I agreed without hesitation.By the way, the appearance of our band in car similar to one in the video “911” was my idea, because Igor filmed that video also. It gave a special metaphysical sense to the story. “
The main part of the video (except the episode with the band) was shot in 3 days in Tbilisi, Udabno and David-Gareji. Despite the harsh weather conditions, cold, rain, strong wind, and other ‘miracles’, the work was very easy and fun, because that’s what happens when using production service in Georgia. Ukrainian and Georgian teams participated in shooting. They proved to be very cohesive and capable to solve and take any challenge.
